Meet Dr. Mayo

MEET US | Richard S. Mayo, D.D.S., F.A.C.O.M.S.


Dr. Mayo has a Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Ohio State University. Dr. Mayo completed a one year General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown prior to completing a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh. He is Board Certified, a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Mayo maintains current certification in Anesthesia and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Mayo resides in Boardman. He and his wife are the proud parents of four daughters.


Dr. Richard S. Mayo is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Boardman, Ohio. He specializes in procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafts, TMJ disorders and oral pathology. The surgical staff at Dr. Mayo’s is experienced assisting in administration of I.V. sedation and surgery. All staff is informed administrative personnel, well versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified.
